भारत सरकार की ओर से जनवरी 2025 में आयोजित होने वाले प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान अवॉर्ड्स (Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards – 2025) के लिए दुनियाभर से नॉमिनेशन आमंत्रित किए गए हैं। इस संबंध में सरकार की ओर से नोटिफिकेशन जारी कर दिया गया है। इस नोटिफिकेशन को विदेश मंत्रालय की ओर से सभी भारतीय दूतावासों को सार्वजनिक करने और आवेदन आमंत्रित करने के लिए भेजा गया है। गौरतलब है कि प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान अवॉर्ड के लिए संबंधित दूतावास इस नोटिफिकेशन को जारी करेंगे, फॉर्म, अवॉर्ड के संबंध में गजट नोटिफिकेशन और आवेदन करने वाले व्यक्ति की संक्षिप्त जानकारी का एक फॉर्म भी रिलीज करेंगे। इस संबंध में विदेशों में स्थित दूतावासों ने भी यह सर्कुलर अपनी तरफ से जारी कर दिया है।
प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान प्रवासी भारतीयों या प्रवासी भारतीयों द्वारा स्थापित और सचालित संगठनों के लिए सवोच्च भारतीय पुरस्कार है। यह सम्मान चुने हुए असाधारण और सराहनीय योगदान देने वाले 30 भारतीयों को दिया जाता है। प्रवासी भारतीय दिवस के अवसर पर आयोजित होने वाले इस सम्मान समारोह का आयोजन अब भारत सरकार हर दो वर्ष के अंतराल पर करती है। पिछला प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मान समारोह इंदौर में 8-10 जनवरी तक आयोजित प्रवासी भारतीय सम्मेलन में किया गया था। आवेदन करने वाले सभी अप्रवासी भारतीयों को संबंधित भारतीय दूतावास को 20 फरवरी, 2024 तक फॉर्म भिजवाने होंगे, जिसको संबंधित भारतीय दूतावास प्रोसेस करेगा। इसके लिए सीधे आवेदन भी किया जा सकता है।

Nominations for Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Awards (PBSA) – 2025
Nomination process for the Pravasi Bharatiya Samman Award (PBSA) is now open. PBSA is the highest honour recognising the contribution and achievements of Indian diaspora and is conferred by the President of India during the valedictory session of the Pravasi Bhartiya Diwas (PBD) Convention held biennially. The next PBD Convention will be held in January 2025.
PBSA is awarded to a Non-Resident Indian (NRI), Person of Indian Origin (PIO), or an Organization/Institution established and run by a PIO/NRI who has made significant contribution either overseas or in India, in one of the following fields:
For Achievements Abroad
· Better understanding abroad of India;
· Support to India’s causes and concerns in a tangible way;
· Building closer links between India, the overseas Indian community and their country of residence;
· Social and humanitarian causes in India or abroad;
· Welfare of the local Indian community;
· Philanthropic and charitable work;
· Eminence in one’s field or outstanding work, which has enhanced India’s prestige in the country of residence; or
· Eminence in skills which has enhanced India’s prestige in that country (for non-professional workers).
For Achievements within India
· Philanthropic investments and charitable work in India;
· For contributions made towards India’s development.
